Artemisia Tridentata (big sagebrush) is a powerful plant and with many cleansing properties. Not only is it antibacterial, it's uplifting yet it’s earthy scent is grounding. Emitting positive ions that neutralize negative ions which contribute to stress, anxiety and other unwanted energy and feelings. Steam passes through the automatic plant material, the heat from the steam breaks open the plants structure that holds the essential oils and other plant fluids, which cause the oils to release. The water and oil vapors rise together in the distillation column until they enter the condenser and re-liquefy. The oil and water mixture flow into a receiving vessel where they seperate, leaving the golden essential oil floating on top of the fragrant hydrosol.

Hydrosol and essential oils are the liquified versions of the plant! Hydrosols, also known as plant water or flower waters are created during the distillation process and contain microscopic beads of the essential oil being distilled. The scented waters are subtle and softer versions of the essential oil. Large amounts of plant material are needed to create essential oils, which are highly concentrated and aromatic.
